People from all over, and especially\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003ethose with connections to agriculture, came together to donate\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003ecash, fencing supples and machinery, hay, labor, and even cattle.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eIn the following weeks, huge caravans of hay and supplies headed\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003ewest and south through Kansas. As someone who grew up in\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eagriculture, it was all very emotional to me. My heart broke for\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003etheir loss but was full at the outpouring of help from so many\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003estrangers. In that mix of emotions, this book was written.
