Sendling decided to break free of that dangerous environment. \u003c\/p\u003e \u003cp\u003eHis classically educated aunt and a determined school guidance counselor helped him discover a love of both learning and the splendor of language. He attended the nationally recognized preparatory school Classical High, and once he had subdued his personal demons, he found himself on a better path. Sendling graduated from college and began a forty-year career as a Fortune 100 senior manager.\u003c\/p\u003e \u003cp\u003eAt fifty-nine, a devastating neck injury left him socially isolated and addicted to prescription painkillers, so once again, he sought a new, less destructive way to live.
