by Terry J. Nolan (Author)
Abigail Anderson was presumed drowned thirty-seven years earlier. However, when her skeleton is found in the sand dunes of a popular West Michigan park, the authorities soon discover that she was murdered. The evidence leads to charging a member of a legendary high school football team from the late '70's who is now fifty-six years old. He claims innocence and hires the team of Paddy O'Brien and Bobby Ford to defend him. Potential witnesses, also members of the football team, begin to mysteriously die of questionable circumstances and the lawyers have to deal with evidence that points to their client as being the murderer. Old friendships are strained, the lead detective has conflict with his boss, players in the development of a casino are brought into play, and a sexy prosecutor make for an intriguing mystery for Bobby and Paddy to solve. Courtroom drama and twists and turns make this story a page-turner. A whodunit with lots of likely suspects.
