Cat Tales is a book of crew and pilot experiences in training and wartime. Many are laughable and others terrifying. The author, himself a flight engineer aboard a PBY Catalina compiled these stories from fellow crewmen and pilots in his squadron. He brings them to life with his characterization of the experiences with cartoon illustrations.
Author Biography
Win Stites, was a crewman aboard a PBY Catalina seaplane in WWII. He served in both the Atlantic and Pacific areas. All of his stories in this book are from logs and interviews with fellow crewmen including his own experiences. As an artist, he illustrates what life was like aboard World War II's most famous seaplane.
