His poems have appeared in a wide variety of publications including \u003cem\u003eBoston Review\u003c\/em\u003e, \u003cem\u003eNew American Writing\u003c\/em\u003e, the \u003cem\u003eGettysburg Review\u003c\/em\u003e, \u003cem\u003eJacket\u003c\/em\u003e, and \u003cem\u003eChicago Review\u003c\/em\u003e. Latta received his A.B. in English from Cornell University, where he founded the literary magazine \u003cem\u003eChiaroscuro\u003c\/em\u003e. He earned an M.F.A. in Creative Writing at the University of Virginia and a Ph.D. in English at the State University of New York, Albany.
