She teaches courses in European and Eastern European philosophy and literature. Her research focuses on \u003ci\u003emetics\u003c\/i\u003e--those who position themselves in-between major cultures and languages.\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003cb\u003eAlisa Slaughter \u003c\/b\u003eis a California-based writer and translator. She co-translated \u003ci\u003eA Spy for an Unknown Country\u003c\/i\u003e, lectures and essays by Merab Mamardashvili (2021, ibidemVerlag). She holds an MFA from Warren Wilson College and an MA in comparative literature from the University of Arizona.
