Author Biography
Muhammed al-Ahari is the author of several works on Islam in America including "Five Classic Muslim Slave Narratives," "Islam in America and Other Writings by Muhammad Alexander Russell Webb," and "A Heritage of East and West: the collected writings of Shaykh Kamil Yusuf Avdich". Muhammed converted to Islam in 1982 and has studied at the America Islamic College and under numerous Sufi Shaykhs and Islamic scholars. He currently teaches in the Chicago Public School system and has a Masters in English and Secondary Education and is all but Dissertation for a Doctorate in Education Leadership.
