His subcultural essays and interviews were collected in the book \u003ci\u003eMidnight Mavericks\u003c\/i\u003e (FAB Press, 2007), while his prose writing has appeared in numerous magazines, newspapers, and literary anthologies.\u003c\/p\u003e \u003cp\u003eIn 2012 he founded Monastrell Books to self-publish his first novel, \u003ci\u003eDog Days\u003c\/i\u003e, which became an underground phenomenon and garnered both attention and controversy. Early influences on his writing include Hubert Selby and Louis-Ferdinand Céline.
