His debut collection, \u003cem\u003eTracks\u003c\/em\u003e (Lovedale Press, 1999), was the recipient of the 2000 \u003cstrong\u003eIngrid Jonker Prize\u003c\/strong\u003e. He was also awarded the 1999 \u003cstrong\u003eThomas Pringle Award\u003c\/strong\u003e for poetry published in journals.
