This volume provides the first English translations of The Tale of Troy and The Tale of Achilles, two medieval Greek romances by anonymous authors of the 14th/15th centuries that narrate the lives and loves of Achilles and Paris before and during the Trojan War.
Author Biography
Adam J. Goldwyn is Professor of English at North Dakota State University and the author of, most recently, Witness Literature in Byzantium: Narrating Slaves, Prisoners, and Refugees and Homer, Humanism, Holocaust: Jewish Responses to the Crisis of Enlightenment During World War II.
Dimitra Kokkini is a Language Tutor in Classics at Royal Holloway, a Honorary Lecturer in Classics at University College London, and an Associate Lecturer in Classics at Birkbeck College. She previously co-translated (with Adam J. Goldwyn) the 12th-century grammarian John Tzetzes' Allegories of the Iliad and Allegories of the Odyssey.
