This is a book designed for people who can ski but want to improve.It uses text and photographs to describe tecniques, how to behave on and off piste, what not to do, and it does so with a touch of humour. It describes how to get from the stem to parallel, how to ski powder and how to deal wth moguls and ice. Clothing, ski design, and maintainance all have their own sections within the book, as does safety and preservation. It's All Downhill From Here is written to be read as a novel rather than a dour instruction manual, with my tongue just a little bit tucked into my cheek. Author Biography

David Southall was born in Kingston Upon Hull and now lives in Gloucestershire England. He has been skiing for over thirty years and spends his winters skiing the Grand Massif in the Haute Savoir region of France. He is a self taught skier who started with langlauf before moving across to downhill skiing. He has been married to his wife Marjory for forty nine years. When not skiing, he spends much of his time restoring an old wooden motor cruiser and making music, having been a guitarist since the age of sixteen. In his book 'It's All Downhill From Here' he tries to pass on some of his accumulated knowledge. He does so with humour and sensitivity in the hope that others may benefit from his experience.
