This book sheds light on the most important milestones, some of them revealed here for the first time, during the ten years' progress, from 1981-1991, of the Iraqi National Nuclear Program, a covert and thorough Iraqi nuclear program that focused initially on several processes for uranium enrichment and then later turned to military objectives before its demise and destruction in 1991, including Saddam Hussain's role in the program.
Author Biography
Dhafir Selbi is the originator and main contributor to this book. He has a B.Sc. in mechanical engineering from Baghdad University in 1965. He joined the Iraqi Atomic Energy Commission (IAEC) in 1976 and became a member of the leading executive committee of the IAEC in 1982 which was chaired by Saddam Hussain. He retired in 1991. Zuhair Al-Chalabi has an M.Sc. in electrical engineering from Kent University (U.K.). He joined the IAEC in 1970. He was head of the electronics department activities. He retired in 2001. Dr. Imad Khadduri is a reactor physicist. He has a Ph.D. from Birmingham University (U.K.). He joined the IAEC in 1968 and was involved in research and various intensive activities in many of IAEC's. He retired in 1997.
