Acier (A-Sear) Reed is a 13 year old young man that has been labeled the "ultimate outcast" by his peers, his most recent & only friend is the school janitor named Pete, he's always been overlooked & completely ignored, not to mention the constant torment he receives on a weekly basis by the school bully "Trent Davis". Living in a world where all of his classmates are tweeting, texting or posting their latest pictures to numerous social media accounts, Acier is yet to cross that threshold since he has been gifted his dad's very old, very obsolete BlackBerry smartphone. "can things get any worse?" Acier thinks to himself while sitting on his porch. For 13 years it seemed that way, until "The Golden Truck" passed through Acier's neighborhood & mistakenly dropped a yellow & black box from it's tailgate, after he picks up the box labeled "BeeHive sPhone" he quickly takes it upstairs to his room believing this new phone will bring him the recognition & popularity he's been looking for, but after activating it he realizes the phone isn't at all your typical smartphone. in fact it isn't a phone at all & Acier's life will soon be changed forever due to the POWER of The Mysterious sPhone.

Author Biography

Roosevelt H. Brown was born in Newark, New Jersey, to Trinidadian American & African American parents who were born & raised in New Jersey. Throughout elementary & high school Roosevelt ultimately excelled in language arts & world history & decided to pursue creative writing & literature in college. Due to unfortunate financial circumstances Brown wasn't able to cross that threshold, after years of working uncomfortably for numerous retail stores he officially relocated to New York where he's lived in Queens, Manhattan & Brooklyn.
