This is a story about Pam, a mother of twin daughters. Her husband, Doug, is diagnosed with cancer and eventually passes away when their daughters are around 13 years old. Before he dies, Doug explains that from death comes birth.
As she grieves over Doug's passing, Pam recalls how, when Doug was coaching their daughters' basketball team, he saw the value of female coaches and leaders and wondered why so few of them existed. Inspired by Doug's observations, Pam secretly stitches together a superhero outfit and gives birth to an organization called the Women's Coaching Alliance (WCA), which she leads. WCA makes a significant impact by supporting young female coaches, helping them thrive and become the leaders of tomorrow.
Eventually, Pam's daughters discover her secret! But they share with Pam that she was always a superhero and didn't need a cape to become one. The story ends with Pam hanging up the cape in recognition of that truth.
