by Chad Nance (Author)
Hillbilly Highway is a journey through the tattered American landscape at the end of the Bush Era. From Her bars, back streets, country roads, and awe inspiring big sky deserts, journalist Chad Nance takes a journey into the absurd heart of a nation he dearly loves. Come along on the misadventures...The last of the Yippies leads from Greenwich Village to a clandestine clinic in the Mexican border town of Agua Prieta. It's Splinter Cell meets Cheech & Chong just over Canada's border when Nance embeds with a group of former US Navy SEALs who grow dope. Follow Chad as a working journalist on the 2008 Presidential campaign. Spend some time in the haze and noise of summers at music festivals, from the full blown freak-out of Bonnaroo to the Mayberry-on-acid realities of the Galax Fiddler's Convention. From whiskey-fueled night golf in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina to the sun bleached streets of LA, all bets are off and it is good wisdom to keep your seat-belt on. Gonna be a weird, hilarious, and heart-breaking trip across America at the dawn of the 21st Century.
Author Biography
Skilled at nothing besides writing, journalist/Road Dog Chad Nance has been the political editor of Skunk Magazine, columnist, radio talk show host, author, and now editor in chief of WLN a political web-site knee-deep in the bloody muck of American politics. Covering stories from the anti-war, anti-prohibition, #occupy, and LBGT rights movements, Nance makes it a point to stay in the middle of the fight and occasionally pick a few himself.
