Author Biography
D'Arcy Rheault was born in Timmins, Ontario, Canada in 1963. D'Arcy is also known by his traditional name Ishpeming'enzaabid (He-who-sees-from-a-high-place). He is a non-status member of the Anishinaabe Nation (Omàmiwininiwak/Algonquin) and French-Canadian and belongs to the Bizhiw Doodem (Lynx Clan). D'Arcy earned a B.A. in Philosophy, (with a concentration in Eastern Philosophy) in 1993 from Brock University (St. Catharines, Ontario). He did his graduate work at Trent University (Peterborough, Ontario) in Native Studies and received an M.A. in 1998. D'Arcy's areas of interest are Aboriginal philosophical traditions, time, identity, ethics, ceremonialism, physics and artificial intelligence. D'Arcy's teaching career includes a course directorship, co-lectureships and teaching assistantships at Brock University, Trent University and York University (Toronto, Ontario) as well as an instructor at Sir Sanford Fleming College in Peterborough, Ontario.
