By 1826 Pendleton District was abolished to create Anderson and Pickens Counties. Pendleton District is located right in the heart of the migration routes of persons headed west and northwest of persons migrating through the Upstate. These abstracts list such things as: the grantee and grantor, occupations, dates, page & book numbers, sales price, detailed location of property and etc.... These 1,989 deed abstracts are from Books Q, R and S which cover the years 1822-1830.
